    1. Nice run Michelle. I haven’t run 10 since April. I think a need a race to get me motivated! I too am doing upper body work with the vucacum cleaner, but only once a week. Pretty pathetic. But at least we caught up on laundry yesterday.See you at yoga!

  1. I know that there is a lot of other exercises you can do besides crunches. you can try the plank exercies thats supposed to work. or do cardio i heard works well too i think. thats what i am trying.

  4. Try to use a little bit of your abs along with the neck. Your neck will still do most of the work but over time your abs will be able to function independently.

    Will this help lose more belly fat after I did ur “10 min trainer workouts to lose belly fat” workout?

    1. Lynn and I go way back and I may be the first person in Lynn\’s clsases when she started up years ago. We were having one of those great conversations women have about doing what we love and what to do next as our kids were getting older and Lynn mentioned her interest in fitness. With her personality and dedication, I encouraged her and knew we would get a wonderful teacher in Lynn. She is just a very real and down to earth person. She is true to herself and cares about what she does and all of the people she trains. It is just that simple. Rocky Hill is blessed to have her and you will be a lifelong devotee to better health once you try one of her clsases and you will make a new friend in Lynn.

    When that happens I usually try to look up at the ceiling and not use my eyes to do the workout. Also just actually focus on using your abs. Hope this helps!

    1. Sorry, this is a great post rehab exercise after the condtiion has stabilized; this SHOULD NOT be done during a back pain episode. I’ve treated numerous people for back problems by doing such an exercise while they had back pain. You did a fine job for someone who does not have back pain I would also recommend if they have a history of back pain, they lay on their side, then roll over to the supine hook-lying position instead.

I’m a 49 yr old, 5’6  ECTOMORPH with skinny limbs and big fat detsoips on my chest and stomach that for the life of me I just cannot lose. I also have trouble building and keying muscle. I feel like I’m in a no win situation in that if I go low carb I lose any muscle I have, and if I eat carbs they go right to my chest and stomach. I’ve had these fat detsoips on me at least 25 years. I think there must be some hormone reason

    Can this make you feel nauseous? I’ve been wanting to start doing exercises because I’m really skinny; however, when I tried doing 20 crunches daily, I wouldn’t feel up to par afterward. What’s the best way for me to start just to get used to it in order to overcome this feeling? :/

    2 months ago, I started with your 10 minute easy workout, progressed to your 20 minute easy workout, and now I am able to add this extra ab exercised to my workout. I can’t thank you enough for making work outs for beginners! You guys are special!!

    1. I would agree with that if the pain is Not’ increased and made worse dinurg the activity and I would still stay away from it in the a.m., due to disc hydration over night. If the condition is stable’ the patient can do this and is no worse, than it can be a good exercise, especially to restore flexion; again when it’s stable.

    2. Hey jimmy, i have 18years old and i go to the gym for about 2 years now. At first I started with some easy wkotours to get my body to get used to the muscle lifting, because i am a skinny guy. 6 months ago i started to lift heavy and to more intense wkotours, and i also started to take protein shakes after my wkotours. I was thinking of start to take Creatine, if you could message me some tips on how to take it, and for how long. People say once you stop you WILL lose weight. Thank u, grt vids
