I think you should STRIKE until they get you a better stereo system! Ive
seen portable sounds systems with pitch control. Maybe that would be an
option.? Good Luck and Keep up the good work! π
Shoarobics, very energetic and creative classes. I part time teaching steps
and hi lo in clubs in KL malaysia but normally now we have different kind
of formations of boards when come to advance classes here. Hope you can
post some of the formations you do, if any. Would like to get some ideas
too.
Hi there, thanks for the comments. I wish we did some different formations
also – but here in Toronto, advanced step classes aren’t as popular as they
used to be. More people gravitate towards dance, yoga and pilates type
classes nowadays. I’d love to see some of your classes you teach…post
some up π
Thanks π I was watching some of your videos too. You should take some
videos of you teaching your classes. Always interesting to see the
interactions of the participants.
I think itΒ΄s too difficult for most participants, and some turns are
knee-bothering, but still, very good ideas! (please donΒ΄t take this the
wrong way, I`m always very concerned with safety) and unfortunately I think
strinking wonΒ΄t help – the are too many instructors around π
Thanks again π Yeah we just got new management…hopefully I voiced my
concerns well enough so that they will do something about it. Yeah, some
moves can be tougher on the knees, but I always offer basic moves first,
then show medium to advanced options for those who *want* to do it π
You certainly are very talented, just a shame about the gym, I teach my
cycle class w/o a mic, but never step, my knees ache just watching this, I
hope they come around soon with the equipment you and your participants
deserve.
Don’t worry – I’ll never take any of the comments the wrong way. I
appreciate all feedback. In terms of difficulty, yes some moves are harder,
but I always offer easier alternatives and leave it up to the participant
to choose the version they’re most comfortable with. (for example, if you
look closely you can see everyone do a side leg while I do a spin around
etc.) Believe it or not, in all my videos there’s a lady who’s over 60 and
she’s right on the ball all the time! She’s awesome!
Personally I find it hard to take my eyes off the lady in the pink top with
the rather large endowments . I Agree with you Barbara there are alot of
instructors, but there are not a lot of GOOD instructors. I think
Shaorobics needs should be met.
Some really cool moves in there – good stuff π
thanks for being open to discussions, and ok, I can see your point, keep up
the good work!
Thanks. Well if I were to strike, I would have gone on strike years ago
when they stopped providing a mic. I guess that’s why my voice is so “big”
now. Interesting…portable sound system. I’ll look into that but I hope
it’s not too big/heavy. I wouldn’t want to lug it around with me on the
subway after my regular daytime job π
